Why work when I have pay per view

So after my maniacal surge of productivity on Monday, yesterday was clear to sit down, drink green tea, listen to jazz and work on my site redesign for Endeavor Creative.  A site which has needed an overhaul for oh, only about a year and a half.  It’s not that I’m creatively blocked, the ideas are flowing (I’m on idea #37,508,210 this morning).  It’s that I’m creatively frustrated.  This site design needs to last me for a good two or three years, at least the basic structure of it, because it is pure and utter torture to design for myself.  If I were a paying client, I’d fire myself and refund all of my money.  Can’t make a decision on anything.  I love every idea I have and then 3 seconds later I hate it.  I’m a nightmare.

If you recall, I had a couple of glasses of wine Monday evening.  Which meant that I was up at 3:30am with insomnia watching infomercials followed by Whoopie Goldberg’s 1980s classic suckorama, “Burgler.”

shut eye

Needless to say, yesterday was utterly and totally non-productive.  Which is very bad, because I have a handful of extremely large projects gearing up, this down time is supposed to be for MY SITE.  If it doesn’t get done now, well, you know.

But!  Had I not tried to force my mojo, I would have realized that it was pointless and so being, a great day to play hookie.  Hey if it’s just not happening, and I can’t force it, then logic dictates it’s time to go out and get a facial or something.  But no.  Why?!  Because I already told you that’s why, I’m a nightmare.

By mid-afternoon I was ready to scream.  So I decided that I’ll just take a nap.  I can’t take naps, what was I thinking.  So I decided that I’d watch a movie.

The only thing available on pay per view was this movie, have you heard of it?  The Decent?

It was the most disgusting, disturbing, unsettling, nauseating movie I’ve ever seen.  Absolutely ew.

It was AWESOME!

Ok then, back to work.  grrr
