The Crazy Juice Lady

Yet again, and this time on a whole new level of crazy, I’ve become one of those people.  It wasn’t enough that I became a PETA-loving vegan, I had to go out and become the crazy ”come to my party for a very special presentation on how to improve your health and financial well beingJUICE LADY

That’s right, I’m a network marketer.

big surprise

See, I really wish somebody would pay me to write on my blogs all day about whatever I please and with my adequate-at-best grammar and writing skills.  I wish that web design was always fun and creative and lucrative and that projects always ran smoothly and that people paid me on time.  I LOVE being a web designer, I love design and blogging and the whole damn medium.  But I came to the harsh realization that it ain’t ever going to afford me the life that I dream of.

I don’t want to work for somebody else, although some days I think it would just be so much easier, I’m just not cut out for it.

I can sell that which I’m passionate about, and over the course of the last couple of years—nutritional healing and preventative, alternative wellness schtuff has really captured my heart.  MonaVie fell in my lap and I just had to give it a shot.  It was my opportunity! on so many levels.

Over the last couple of months I’ve been working that business quite a bit.  Imagine my shock—having to communicate with people IN PERSON

big surprise

and ON THE PHONE

grrr (oh the horror).

But you know what?  I find that it’s the perfect compliment to my design business and my lifestyle, it gets me in contact with humans again and it’s exciting and healthy and all good.

I don’t have to spend my whole life in front of the computer each week anymore.  I am making a little money with MonaVie and that will only grow; just that idea brings my creative designer spirit back to life.

So, this Friday I’m hosting a MonaTini party.  I mean, what business allows you to have a bunch of people over, play some loungy jazz music, and pour martinis for people?  It’s a business FOR ME, that’s what it is.  You may call me crazy if you want to.

I really enjoy reading your blog, it always has great insight. But I am very frustrated with the media’s lack of questions to the presidential candidates about global warming.

The Daily Green just put an article out talking about how the presidential candidates are not being asked where they stand on the issue of the climate change - this is surprising to me considering its such a MAJOR concern to people. I just saw a poll on http://www.EarthLab.com that says people care a lot what their next leader thinks about global warming (after you take it they show you the results).  Does anyone know of another poll or other results about this subject?

If not, go to http://www.earthlab.com/life.aspx and take their poll to see which way the results go.  This is a pretty legit website; they are endorsed by Al Gore and the alliance for climate protection and they have a carbon footprint calculator.  No matter which political party you vote for this is an important issue for our environment, our economy and for homeland security.
